ROME, Ga. — The Lady Hawks faced their first conference opponent of the season, unfortunately falling 0-3 in sets to the University of Alabama Huntsville Chargers. With match scores of 23-25, 20-25, and 19-25, the Hawks played hard to attempt to secure the 'W'. Despite the loss, the Lady Hawks had some bright moments on the court. Sophomore
Taylor-Reese Howell and Junior
Laila Bernardino both led the team with 6 kills a piece. Those two also each recorded 1 ace a piece, topped by
Marysa Ocampo, who led the team with 2. Ocampo also put up the most assists across the three matches, totaling 14.
Mia Alexander, a freshman out of Gilbert, Arizona, had 9 digs, followed by
Taylor-Reese Howell with 7 and
