The Shorter Hawks Women's Soccer team fell behind early. Still, it never surrendered in a 4-1 loss to The University of West Georgia Wolves on Sunday.
In a match where the Wolves scored twice in the opening half, it appeared that the Hawks would be in for a long night going into halftime. In the second half, the Wolves tacked on a third goal to increase their lead, but in the 56th minute, the Hawks struck for their first goal of the night from Ciara Chacon. The game played back and forth until the Wolves snook one final insurance goal to seal the contest.
The Hawks will host nationally ranked rival No.1 Lee University (Tenn.) on Sunday, Oct. 2, at Ben Brady Field.
