ROME, Ga.--The Shorter University Women's Soccer team opened its 2022 campaign with a 3-0 loss to Emmanuel College Thursday afternoon at Ben Bradley field.

The contest marked the fourth trip by Emmanuel College to Ben Bradley field, and the Hawks fought hard with the Lions in the three-goal defeat.

The Hawks finished the first 45-minute period, surrendering 2 goals to the Lions, but surrendered one last goal in the second period of play and could not come back.

The Shorter Hawks Women's Soccer Team will hit the road to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern State University on Aug 27 at 5pm.
