ROME, Ga.- The Lady Hawks were back in action for the second game of their three-game home stand as the #4 Lady Bulldogs of Union University came to Rome. The Lady Bulldogs offense proved to be too much for the Lady Hawks and cruised to a 74-48 victory.
The first six minutes of the game the lead was traded between the two teams and no team's lead got above one possession. However, the Lady Bulldogs got a six-point lead with three minutes left in the first quarter and never looked back. Union went into the locker room with an 18-point lead on Shorter. The Lady Bulldogs held around a 18 to 22 point lead throughout the third quarter. That lead continued to grow in the fourth quarter and ultimately the Lady Bulldogs won the game by 26 points.
Tiara Lewis recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 22 points and ten rebounds.
Alana Moore and
Ansley Barge both scored nine points and pulled down five and six rebounds, respectively.
Azaria Howard scored eight points and recorded four assists.
The Lady Hawks will be back in action Saturday February 26
th at 2 PM for their season finale against the Lady Buccaneers of Christian Brothers University.
