ROME, Ga.- The Lady Hawks finished their three-game home stand as the Lady Buccaneers of Christian Brothers. The Lady Hawks honored three seniors today: Jasmine Gaines, Azaria Howard, and graduate assistant Bryan Guevara.

The Lady Hawks dominated the first quarter as they scored 26 points and held a 13-point lead at the end of the quarter. That lead dwindled in the second quarter and the score was tied at 35 with two minutes left in the first half. The Lady Buccaneers headed into the locker room with a one-point lead. In the third quarter the lead was traded back and forth as neither team held above a five-point lead. The game was tied twice at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but after a couple of minutes Christian Brothers pulled away with the lead and secured an 87-78 victory over Shorter.

Senior Azaria Howard led the Lady Hawks with a season-high 33 points, and she also tied for the lead with seven rebounds. Tiara Lewis scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Senior Jasmine Gaines scored 15 points and recorded a season-high 12 assists.

The Lady Hawks finish the 2021-2022 season with a 5-17 overall record and a 2-16 conference record. Stay tuned to goshorterhawks.com for more information about next season.
