ROME, Ga.- The Lady Hawks began their three-game home stand against the Lady Warhawks of Auburn-Montgomery. The Lady Hawks trailed by one point at the beginning of the fourth quarter and took the lead and never looked back beating the Lady Warhawks 76-69.
The Lady Warhawks scored the first bucket of the game and went into the locker room with a four-point lead. After the halftime, the Lady Warhawks continued to hold their lead until 2:00 left in the third quarter when the Lady Hawks took the lead. The Lady Hawks ended the third quarter with a two-point lead. Auburn-Montgomery took a one-point lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter and the Lady Hawks retook the lead two minutes later and held the lead for the rest of the game.
Tiara Lewis recorded her fifth double-double of the season with a season-high 34 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
Ansley Barge scored 18 points and recorded five rebounds.
Alana Moore was one point and one rebound shy of recording her first double-double. The Lady Hawks out scored the Lady Warhawks in the paint (48-32) and points off of turnovers (27-13).
The Lady Hawks will continue their home stand on Thursday February 24
th at 5:30 PM when the #4Â Union Lady Bulldogs come to town.
