VALDOSTA, Ga.- The Lady Hawks traveled to Valdosta for a matchup with the Lady Blazers of Valdosta State University. The Lady Blazers started the game off with an 11-0 run and never looked back as they easily won, 77-35.
After the Lady Blazers hot start, the Lady Hawks clawed their way back to make it a one-point game with eight minutes left in the first half. However, Valdosta State quickly rebounded and went into the locker room with a 20-point lead. In the second half, the Lady Blazers lead did not go below 20 points.
Lindsay Bowman led the team with a season-high 12 points, followed by
Ansley Barge who scored 11 points. Ansley and
Alana Moore led the team with six rebounds each.Â
Tiara Lewis,
Azaria Howard, and
Mary-Grace Durham all recorded four rebounds.
The Lady Hawks will be back at home for a three-game home stand to end the regular season starting Tuesday February 22
nd with a matchup with the Lady Warhawks of Auburn-Montgomery. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
