On Friday, the Shorter Lady Hawks made a clean sweep of their Senior Night. From the three sets, the final scores were 25-19, 25-20, and 25-20.
Carrington Terrell led the team with 10 kills, while
Lacee Glover and
Katherine Patrick picked up 6 each. The Lady Hawks had 7 aces on the evening.
Lacee Glover had a total of 4,
Madison Sprosty with 2, and
Taryn Cycholl with 1.
Annie Smith racked up a total of 14 assists, while
Taryn Cycholl had a total of 8 and
Amelia Thro with 3. On defense,
Carrington Terrell had some crucial blocks with a total of 4, and
Katherine Patrick with a total of 4, followed by
Annie Veldhuis with 2. Lastly,
Madison Sprosty led the VolleyHawks with 16 digs, followed by
Claudia Loyola with 11, and
Lacee Glover with 7. Overall, the Lady Hawks put on a show and performed exceptionally well. With all the open opportunities to score the Hawks capitalized on each and every moment. Through great communication and teamwork, the Hawks were successful once again.
The VolleyHawks will be back in action at The University of Alabama in Huntsville for the first round of the GSC Tournament playoffs on Monday at 6:00PM CST.
