ROME, Ga.- The Lady Hawks opened their 2021 season at the newly designed Ben Brady Field against the Lady Nighthawks of Thomas University. The Lady Hawks struck first but were unable to hold the lead and lost 3-1.

Erin Carter struck first for the Lady Hawks with the first goal of the game and of the season in the 11^th minute. Jana Pastorek scored all three of the goals for the Lady Nighthawks in the 15^th, 16^th, and 55^th minute.

Erin Carter led the team with three shots, and freshman Rue Campbell followed with two shots. Goalkeeper Emily Lopez recorded 10 saves. Shorter had 7 shots with 4 on goal, while Thomas University had 15 shots with 13 on goal.

The Lady Hawks will be back in action September 7^th on the road against Emmanuel College at 6pm.
