ROME, Ga. – The Shorter Hawks men's lacrosse team (2-7) fell 18-6 to the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH) Chargers (3-6) on Saturday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
Five Hawks scored on the day, including Trey Edge who scored twice and Jaden Sealey, Chase Parker, Kaleb Roehn and Gunnar Uutinen who all scored once.
Trey Edge scored the first goal of the game for the Hawks. He was assisted by Kaleb Roehn. This was the only goal of the first quarter for Shorter. The Chargers went on to score eight goals, including three from Brody Phillips, two from Luke LeVette and one each from Emory Weaver, Preston Deno and Jake LeVette, in the first quarter.
Jaden Sealey and Trey Edge scored two more goals for the Hawks in the second quarter while the Chargers scored three more times in the quarter to make the score 11-3 UAH at the half.
Chase Parker, Kaleb Roehn and Gunnar Uutinen scored three more goals for Shorter in the second half while UAH scored seven more times in the half.
The Hawks return to action against the University of Montevallo on Saturday, April 10 at Montevallo with the game slated to start at 2 p.m.
