MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Shorter Hawks men's lacrosse team (2-8) fell 22-8 to the University of Montevallo Falcons (7-4) on Saturday afternoon at Montevallo.
Six Hawks scored on the day, including Kaleb Roehn who scored three times, and Jack Margelli, Chase Parker, Chadd Halili, Gunnar Uutinen and Trey Edge who all scored once.
Kaleb Roehn scored the first goal of the game for the Hawks in the first quarter. Kordell Primus then scored Montevallo's first goal of the game before Jack Margelli scored another goal for the Hawks. Roehn and Margelli were both assisted by Trey Edge. Kaleb Roehn then scored his second goal of the day before Chase Parker scored another goal for the Hawks. Montevallo scored three more times in the first quarter.
The Hawks did not score in the second quarter while the Falcons scored nine more times to make the score 13-4 Montevallo at the half.
The Hawks scored four more goals in the second half, including one each from Chadd Halili, Gunnar Uutinen, Kaleb Roehn and Trey Edge. Montevallo scored nine times in the half.
The Hawks return to action for Senior Day and the final home game of the season against Lander University on Saturday, April 17 at Ben Brady Field with the game slated to start at 2 p.m.
