In the bottom of the fifth, Nathaniel Butterworth hit a solo home run to left center, which was his second home run of the day to get the Hawks back within one run. Later in the inning, Jacob Pajer scored on a wild pitch to cut the lead down to one, 5-4. Union hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to extend their lead to 7-4.
