Hawks come up short against Thunderwolves

ROME, Ga. – The Shorter Hawks men's lacrosse team (2-3) fell 19-6 to Colorado State University Pueblo Thunderwolves (1-1) on Monday evening at Ben Brady Field.
 

Four Hawks scored on the day, including William Millwood who scored three times, and Kaleb Roehn, Gunnar Uutinen and Trey Edge who all scored once.
 

The first three goals of the game were scored by Colorado State Pueblo, including one from Skylar Weathers and two from Trenton Steele. William Millwood then scored the first goal of the game for Shorter with less than a minute to go in the first quarter.

The Hawks scored three more goals in the second quarter, including two from William Millwood and one from Kaleb Roehn, while the Thunderwolves scored four more goals in the quarter to make the score 7-4 Colorado State Pueblo at the half.

The Thunderwolves were dominant in the second half and scored 12 more goals. The Hawks scored two more goals in the half, including one from Trey Edge and one Gunnar Uutinen.

The Hawks return to action against Colorado Mesa University on Friday, March 12 at Ben Brady Field with the game slated to start at 4 p.m.
