GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Shorter Hawks men's lacrosse team (2-6) fell 14-4 to the Lander University Bearcats (5-2) on Saturday evening at Lander.
Four Hawks scored on the day, including Chadd Halili, Chase Parker, Kaleb Roehn and Jack Margelli.
Quinn Ingalls, Carter Clark and Krew Conroy scored the first three goals of the game for Lander. Chadd Halili then scored the only goal of the first quarter for the Hawks. He was assisted by Trey Edge. The Bearcats scored two more goals in the quarter.
Chase Parker scored the first goal of the second quarter for Shorter while Lander scored four more times in the quarter to make the score 9-2 Lander at the half.
Kaleb Roehn and Jack Margelli scored the final two goals of the game for the Hawks in the third quarter. Margelli was assisted by Chadd Halili. Lander scored five more times in the second half, including once in the third quarter and four times in the fourth quarter.
The Hawks return to action against the University of Alabama Huntsville on Saturday, April 3 at Ben Brady Field with the game slated to start at 3 p.m.
