CLEVELAND,Tenn. -- The Shorter Lady Hawks traveled to Cleveland, Tenn., on Friday to take on the Lady Flames of Lee University. The Lady Flames (7-5) snapped a three-game losing streak in a big way by destroying the Lady Hawks 100-40.
Jasmine Gaines stood out as a bright spot for the Lady Hawks (2-11) on the night, as she scored a team-high 19 points. Shorter's Chatham Brown also had five rebounds.
Lee's Julia Duncan led her team with 19 points to go along with her 11 rebounds, five steals, and four assists. Teammate Hannah Garrett also put up 18 points.
The Lady Hawks will face the Lady Flames for the second game of the weekend on Saturday at 6 p.m.
