ROME, Ga. – The Shorter men's lacrosse team (1-2) fell 18-8 to Emmanuel College (1-1) on Wednesday afternoon at Ben Brady Field.
Five Hawks scored on the day, including Chase Parker who scored three times, Trey Edge who scored twice and William Millwood, Gunnar Uutinen and Jaiden Davis who each scored once.
Travis Braveheart and Madison Phillips scored the first two goals of the game for Emmanuel. Trey Edge then scored two goals for Shorter to tie the game at the end of the first quarter.
Emmanuel scored seven goals in the second quarter while Chase Parker scored the only goal for the Hawks in the quarter to make the score 9-3 Emmanuel at the half. Emmanuel maintained control of the game throughout the second half and never surrendered the lead.
The Hawks return to action against Montreat College on Monday, March 1 at Montreat with the game slated to start at noon.
