VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Lady Hawks (13-4) defeated the Valdosta State Lady Blazers (9-10) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Valdosta to earn their ninth consecutive win.
Shorter defeated Valdosta 25-22 in the first set, 25-14 in the second set and 25-21 in the third set.
Annie Veldhuis led the way for the Lady Hawks offensively and had 11 kills.
Lacee Glover had 10 kills while
Emma Richardson had eight.
Carrington Terrell had seven blocks for Shorter.
Annie Smith had 15 assists, and
Madison Sprosty added in 18 digs.
As a team, the Lady Hawks had 41 kills, six aces, nine blocks, 37 assists and 58 digs.
The Lady Blazers overall had 28 kills, four aces, three blocks, 27 assists and 59 digs.
