ROME, Ga. – The Lady Hawks (14-4) defeated the University of West Georgia Lady Wolves (9-9) 3-1 on Tuesday evening at home to win their tenth consecutive match.
Shorter defeated West Georgia 25-18 in the first set and 25-23 in the second set. West Georgia defeated Shorter 25-18 in the third set, but the Lady Hawks bounced back and defeated the Lady Wolves 25-20 in the fourth set.
Lacee Glover and
Emily Crocker led the way for the Lady Hawks offensively and each had 10 kills.
Carrington Terrell had eight kills.
Annie Smith had 20 assists for Shorter, and
Madison Sprosty added in 21 digs.
As a team, the Lady Hawks had 46 kills, four aces, nine blocks, 34 assists and 69 digs.
The Lady Wolves overall had 45 kills, four aces, four blocks, 34 assists and 70 digs.
