ROME, Ga. – The Lady Hawks (14-5) fell to the Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) Lady Warhawks (13-8) 3-1 on Friday evening at home to end their ten game win streak.
Shorter defeated AUM 25-22 in the first set, but the Lady Warhawks bounced back and defeated the Lady Hawks 25-23 in the second set, 25-16 in the third set and 25-22 in the fourth set.
Carrington Terrell led the way for the Lady Hawks offensively and had 11 kills.
Annie Veldhuis had 10 kills while
Katherine Patrick had eight.
Annie Smith had 34 assists for Shorter, and
Madison Sprosty added in 19 digs.
As a team, the Lady Hawks had 40 kills, seven aces, five blocks, 35 assists and 61 digs.
AUM overall had 54 kills, seven aces, two blocks, 50 assists and 77 digs.
