CARROLLTON, Ga. – The Lady Hawks (12-4) completed the reverse sweep and defeated the University West Georgia (8-8) 3-2 to win their eighth straight match on Friday evening at West Georgia.
Madison Sprosty recorded her 500th career dig in this match.
West Georgia defeated Shorter 25-20 in the first set and 25-13 in the second set. The Lady Hawks bounced back and won the final three sets of the match. Shorter defeated West Georgia 25-14 in the third set, 25-21 in the fourth set and 15-9 in the fifth set.
Lacee Glover led the way for the Lady Hawks offensively and had 15 kills.
Emily Crocker had nine kills while
Emma Richardson had eight.
Annie Smith had 29 assists for Shorter. Sprosty added in 26 digs.
As a team, Shorter had 46 kills, two aces, nine blocks, 42 assists and 89 digs.
West Georgia overall had 46 kills, four aces, eight blocks, 35 assists and 87 digs.
