AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Lady Hawks (14-10) fell to the Augusta University Lady Jaguars (16-7) 3-2 on Wednesday evening in Augusta.
The Lady Jaguars defeated the Lady Hawks 25-20 in the first set. Shorter defeated Augusta 25-20 in the second set and 27-25 in the third set, but Augusta bounced back and defeated the Lady Hawks 25-23 in the fourth set and 15-12 in the fifth set.
Lacee Glover had 23 kills for Shorter.
Carrington Terrell had six blocks and
Katherine Patrick had five.
Annie Smith had 23 assists and added in 15 digs.
Madison Sprosty added in 13 digs.
As a team, the Lady Hawks had 55 kills, eight aces, 14 blocks, 55 assists and 70 digs.
Augusta overall had 63 kills, 13 aces, five blocks, 55 assists and 59 digs.
