VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Shorter Lady Hawks basketball team (1-9) fell 89-57 in a GSC conference game against Valdosta State (10-1) on Saturday afternoon at Valdosta State.
Shorter was down 12 points at the half with a score of 42-30 Valdosta State, but the Lady Hawks could not bounce back in the second half.
Jasmine Gaines led the way for the Lady Hawks with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Ansley Barge scored 8 points and had 4 rebounds while Chatham Brown scored 7 points and had 9 rebounds.
Kwajelin Farrar led the way for Valdosta State with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Kayla Bonilla and Kendall Bollmer both contributed 11 points for Valdosta State.
The Lady Hawks will be back in action on Friday, January 29 against the University of West Florida with a 6 p.m. tip-off in the Winthrop-King Centre
