Jonathon Pintaro got the starting nod on the mound for the Hawks, and Tristan Cummings got the start for the Mighty Oaks. Both pitchers threw a complete game, game 1 was a 7 inning contest, and both where commanding the strike zone well as only allowing 1 base on balls a piece.

The contest was scoreless through the first six innings, but
Jakob Woods was able to hit a sacrifice fly to right field in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Hawks the win with a score of 1-0.
