Valdosta State got the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning. Alec Aleywine beat out an infield single that scored Dalton Board. Logan Stephens then hit a triple to center field that scored Aleywine. Mike Christopoulos then hit a two run home run that gave the Blazers a 4-0 lead after 1 inning.
