ROME, Ga. – The Lady Hawks (1-2) dropped their first home game of the 2020-2021 season on Wednesday night to conference foe Lee University 72-53. Julia Peroni paced Shorter with 15 points in the game, and Kelly Pickett added 11. 

The Lady Flames (2-0) led Shorter 19-14 at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to ten (32-22) going into the locker room. Then, Lee pulled away in the second half thanks in part to the Lady Flames' Julia Duncan scoring 12 of her game-high 19 points in the third and fourth quarters. Lee's Haley Schubert also accounted for 16 points of her own in the game. 

Shorter's Peroni also contributed on the boards, as she snagged 11 rebounds to go with her scoring (which included going 4-of-6 from the free-throw line). 

The Lady Hawks return to home on Saturday, December 19 against University of Montevallo with tip off slated for 2 p.m.
