Clinton, MS- The Hawks were back on the road tonight for their second game of the 2020 year against Mississippi College.
The Hawks started off trailing the Choctaws 33-40 in the first half, and 36-39 in the second half.
Bryan Polanco and
Ja'Cori Wilson both led the team in points while
Keeving Etienne and Wilson led in rebounds. Polanco and Wilson put up 15 points each for the Hawks against the Choctaw defense, and Etienne and Wilson had 9 and 8 rebounds respectively.
The Hawks were able to capitalize on Choctaw turnovers by scoring 19 points, and the score was tied twice throughout the game with the lead changing 6 times. The Hawks had a higher free-throw and three-point percentage than the Choctaws at 78.6% and 32.3% respectively.
