Rome, GA- The Hawks were back home for their first home game of the 2020 year against The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
The Hawks kept the game close in the first half, but still went into halftime down 47-43. However, in the second half the Hawks trailed 43-34 to end the game.
Ja'Cori Wilson led the team in points with 21 and
Jay Shropshire followed with 19 points of his own. Wilson also led the team in rebounds with 9 and
Frenki Lilaj followed up with 6 rebounds.
The Hawks were able to score 12 points off of the 8 turnovers committed by the Chargers. The Hawks also scored 14 points off of fast breaks and they got some much-needed help from their bench players who scored a total of 30 points. The Hawks and Chargers had the same 3pt percentage at 33.3%. However, the Hawks were exponentially better than the Chargers from the free throw line with a percentage of 91.7.
