CBU wins weather shortened game over Women's Soccer

MEMPHIS -- The Lady Hawks fell to Christian Brothers, 3-0, Sunday afternoon from Memphis.

With the loss, Shorter moves to 1-5-1 on the season and 0-4 in conference play; while the Lady Bucs improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the GSC.

Christian Brothers got on the board first, in the 16th minute when Bailey Tadlock found the back of the net on a pass from Anna Della Rosa to take a 1-0 lead in the first half. After the break, Della Rosa posted two goals of her own to make it a 3-0 game before a pair of lightning delays suspended the game in the 78th minute.

In total, CBU outshot the Lady Hawks 14-5; while holding a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Taylor Hendrix led the attack for Shorter, tallying three shots for the game with two on target. Corrie Thomas and Fiorella Gamarra each added one shot apiece. Sydney Durham played the complete game in goal, making three saves.

The Lady Hawks will be back in action as they travel to North Alabama Friday, September 29, for an 8:00pm EST start.
