Jackson, Tenn. --Â The Lady Hawks came from behind in the match to top Union, 3-2, on the road Friday night.
The win improves Shorter to 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the Gulf South Conference; while the Lady Bulldogs move to 9-5 on the year and 0-2 in conference play.
It was a back and forth match, as the teams traded the lead throughout. Shorter took set one 25-23, before falling behind 2-1 as Union won sets two and three by 25-19 and 25-23 scores, respectively. The Lady Hawks then came back in set four, earning the win 25-23, to force the tiebreak; where they took the lead early and didn't let up, taking the match with a 15-5 win.

Tiffani Estep led the attack, turning in 18 kills apiece for the night; while both,
Kelsi Jones and
Morgan Cleveland added ten each.
Alli Bell posted a career high in assists with 41, to go along with 16 from
Tinsley Fain.
On defense, Cleveland finished with a team high 22 digs, whereas
Cheyenne McLemore added 21 and
Annie Homan chipped in with 14. Cleveland also added a team high in blocks with four – two solo and two assisted.
The Lady Hawks will look to keep the momentum going Saturday afternoon as they take on Christian Brothers. Game time is set for 3:00pm EST.
