MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Lady Hawks came up short in non-conference action this evening, falling to the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks, 2-0.
The loss drops Shorter to 0-5 on the year while AUM improves to 3-3-1.
The Warhawks controlled the game, allowing the Lady Hawks only four shots (two on goal), while they took 16, with nine being on goal. SU had six corners, and AUM had nine.

Lora Bruce took the team's first shot of the game in the 35th minute, while
Tabea Kirchner had two shot attempts, first in the 55th minute and again 20 minutes later.
Auburn Montgomery took a 1-0 lead in the 41st minute when Chelsie China picked off a pass and scored. The Warhawks added another goal in the 69th minute as Ruby Hernandez netted her sixth goal of 2016.
Alden Powell played all 90 minutes in goal made seven saves for the Lady Hawks. AUM's Morgan Glenn recorded a clean sheet and made two saves.
Shorter returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Gulf South Conference rival Lee for an afternoon contest. Kickoff between Lady Hawks and Lady Flames is set for 1 p.m. from Ben Brady Field on the campus of Shorter University.
