Anderson, S.C. --Â The Lady Hawks will look to get into the win column Saturday against Mars Hill after opening the season with a 4-0 setback at Anderson Thursday evening.
The Trojans got things going early, scoring in the seventh minute on the penalty kick by Kenzie Van Heusen. Ten minutes later Van Heusen found the back of the net again to extend the lead and give Anderson a 2-0 advantage going into the second half. In the final 45 minutes, Idoia Agirre scored twice for the Trojans add to the lead.
In total, the Lady Hawks were held to a minimal 5 shots – four in the second half – and three on goal; while Anderson tallied 29 shots in the game.
Haley Lademann and
Alden Powell split time in goal for Shorter, each allowing two goals through forty-fives apiece.
