Pensacola, Fla. -- The Lady Hawks closed out the road trip Sunday afternoon, falling to West Florida 2-0 in Pensacola.
Shorter moves to 4-6 on the season and 1-4 in conference play with the loss.
The Argos got on the board in the 32nd minute as Sofie Broch-Lips netted what would prove to be the game winner on an assist from Kaley Ward and Daryle Bell. After the break, West Florida add another goal for the 2-0 final score.
In total the Lady Hawks were held to just three shots in the game – all from
Jen Rogers – while the Argos tallied 27 shots, with nine being on goal.
Haley Lademann played the complete goal for Shorter, making seven saves through 90 minutes.
Shorter will return to action and to Ben Brady Field Friday, October 9, as they host Alabama Huntsville for a 3:30pm start.
