Hawks play to a tie with Christian Brothers

ROME -- It took 110 minutes, but in the end, the Hawks came up with their second tie of the season against Christian Brothers Sunday afternoon to close out the home portion of their schedule.

The tie with the Bucs clinched the Hawks berth into the Gulf South Conference Tournament. The quarterfinal games will be played at campus sites that are yet to be determined, while the regular season champion will host both the semifinals and final matches.

Throughout the entire game both teams saw chances to break through, but in the end neither could find the back of the net and the 0-0 tie stood through 110 minutes. In total, both teams had five shots on goal, while both 'keepers had five saves. CBU held the slim advantage in total shots 18-15, while the Hawks took 7 corner kicks to the Bucs 1.
