ROME -- Women's Soccer's undefeated season came to an end Wednesday night with a 4-1 loss in the first Gulf South Conference game of the season at North Alabama.
Eleanor Costello got the Lions on the board in the 14th minute on a shot from fifteen yards out.
Cintia Lamas answered for the Lady Hawks with her first goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
It was all UNA (5-1-1, 2-1 GSC) after the intermission as Chloe Richards tacked on two goals for the Lions in the period and Rachel Dillard scored as time expired to give North Alabama the win, 4-1.
Alden Powell and
Katie Stachula split time in goal for Shorter, with Powell making the start. Over 78:15 she tallied six saves on 17 shots while allowing three goals. Stachula played the final 11:45, allowing one goal on four shots.
The Lady Hawks will be back in action Friday afternoon at 2:00pm as Valdosta State visits Ben Brady Field.
