Kissimee, Fla. -- The Lady Hawks fell to Grace College 4-0 Monday afternoon on the first day of pool play at the 2014 NCCAA National Championship.
Grace dominated play on offense the entire game; tallying 24 shots, while holding Shorter to 3 – all in the first half. In the 28
th minute Carianne Sobey put the Lancers on the board, and the goal proved to be enough as the Lady Hawks were held scoreless. But, they didn't stop there adding three goals during a 10 minute span late in the second half.
Shorter goalkeeper,
Alden Powell, made 10 saves in a complete game performance.
The Lady Hawks will look to even their record in pool play Tuesday as they take on Mid-America Christian University at 2:00pm.
