Kissimmee, Fla. -- The Lady Hawks defeated Mid-American Christian, 2-0, Tuesday afternoon to move to 1-1 in pool play.

Cintia Lamas did all the damage for Shorter tallying the first goal of the day in the 13^th minute on an assist from Taylor Hendrix, and adding to the lead with 25 minutes to play to give the Lady Hawks the 2-0 advantage.

Alden Powell played the complete game in goal for the Lady Hawks, making 7 saves.

Shorter outshot Mid-American Christian 20-15, and held an 11-7 advantage in shots on goal.

The Lady Hawks will now await their fate, as the final pool play games conclude Wednesday, to see if they will advance to the semifinals as the wild card team.
