ATLANTA --Â The Lady Hawks extended their current win streak to 3 games with a 67-58 win over Clark Atlanta on the road Tuesday evening, earning the season sweep over the Panthers in the process.
The win improves Shorter to 3-2 on the season, while Clark Atlanta moved to 1-3 overall.
Cynara Pitt led the Lady Hawks with 20 points on the night,
Tamarr Williams added 11, and
Tatiana Allen recorded 10.
Lindsey Crawford finished with 10 rebounds for Shorter.
The first half was back and forth as the two teams traded the lead eight times during the frame, taking a 32-32 tie into the break.
Clark Atlanta took the lead in the opening seconds of the second half, and built their lead to four, but the Lady Hawks fought back; taking the lead for good as Pitt netted a jumper with 15:07 to play. Shorter added to their advantage, leading by 11 with 5:47.
The Lady Hawks posted 44 points off the bench in the game, shooting 47% in the game. While making 14-21 free throws in the game.
The Panthers had three players finish in double figures; Denissea Law finished with 13, Mykala Jones added 11, and Sydni Davis posted 10.
Shorter will return to action Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm as the Point University Skyhawks visit the Winthrop-King Centre.
