ROME -- Volleyball turned in its sixth straight win Friday evening; sweeping Lee 3-0 at home.
The Lady Hawks move to 19-3 on the season and 16-1 in conference play with the win, while Lee goes to 10-17 overall and 7-10 in the GSC.
Game scores were 25-17, 28-26, and 25-20, respectively.
Erica Baker led the offense for Shorter, tallying 12 kills in the game. Both
Anna Graham and
Elizabeth Dowd added 8.
Dena Pierce dished out 21 assists and
Cheyenne Frady chipped in with 15.
Defensively, four Lady Hawks posted double figure digs; with Dowd posting a team high 15.
Cheyenne McLemore added 13, Pierce recorded 12, and
Jasmine Crook had 10.
Kelsi Jones led the team with 3 blocks on the night – 1 solo and 2 assisted; while Crook, Baker, and
Tiffani Estep added 2 each.
Shorter will return to action Tuesday evening as they travel to Pensacola, Fla. looking for the season sweep of West Florida. Â
