The Lady Hawks defense stepped up to maintain the 1-0 lead
Fiorella Gamarra gave Shorter in the in the 7th minute on a penalty kick, despite not having

Haley Lademann made her first start of the season; playing the complete game and turning her first clean sheet and three saves.
While the one goal proved to be enough, the Lady Hawks had numerous opportunities to extend the lead, but came up short; outshooting Mississippi College 11-10, and 7-3 in on goal shots.
Shorter will return to action Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm when Delta State visits Ben Brady Field for a GSC match-up.
