Milledgeville, Ga.--Women's soccer fell to Georgia College in the final game of the Bobcat Shootout Sunday afternoon, 1-0.
The loss drops the Lady Hawks to 1-3 on the season, while Georgia College improves to 2-2 overall.
Rebekah Autry scored the only goal of the game at the 41:53 mark to give the Bobcats the 1-0 win.
Taylor Hays played the complete game in goal for Shorter; making 13 saves, while facing 14 shots on goal. Jessica Catapano made four saves over 90 minutes for Georgia College.
Overall, the Bobcats outshot the Lady Hawks, 24-13.
Aline Tamiosso made seven shots to lead Shorter, while
Kelli Davis added two shots. Four players chipped in with one goal apiece for the Lady Hawks.
Kessler Matheson made five shots for Georgia College; Abby Dalton and Cayce Hamilton each chipped in with four.
Shorter women's soccer returns to Rome Friday, September 20, as they host the University of West Alabama in their first home game and Gulf South Conference game of the season. Game time is set for 5:00 PM. Shorter's men's soccer team will play immediately after, against Delta State University as part of the Friday Night Futbol event hosted by Shorter Soccer.Â
