Central, S.C.--The Lady Hawks topped Southern Wesleyan in straight sets Wednesday evening en route to the NCCAA South Region Championship.
The win gives Shorter an automatic berth in the NCCAA's National Championship Tournament in Kissimmee, Fla. December 5-7. As well, as extends the Lady Hawks' win streak to 12.
Set scores for the match were 25-23, 25-13, and 25-18, respectively.
Jasmine Crook led the attack for the Lady Hawks with 14 kills, and
Erica Baker chipped in with 11.
Anna Graham and
Elizabeth Dowd each recorded 7 for the match. Crook, along with Dowd and
Dena Pierce posted 10 digs through the three sets.
Pierce dished out a team high 19 assists, and
Cheyenne Frady added 18 for the night.
