Memphis--Christian Brothers women's soccer topped the Lady Hawks, 3-0, in Memphis Sunday afternoon.
The loss drops Shorter to 5-9 on the season, and 2-5 in the Gulf South Conference.
The Lady Bucs got on the board in the 27th minute as Alex Bickenbach found the back of the net to take the 1-0 lead. After the break, Christian Brothers scored twice more en route to the 3-0 victory.
Taylor Hays played the complete game in goal for Shorter, making five saves on eight shots on goal. In total, the Lady Bucs outshot the Lady Hawks 12-7.
Helena Farinha,
Aline Tamiosso, and
Cintia Lamas each recorded two shots during the game for Shorter.
Kelli Davis also chipped in with a strike.
CBU goalkeeper Robyn Wade made one save on one shot faced during the game.
The Lady Hawks will be back in action Thursday evening at 6:00pm from Ben Brady Field as North Alabama visits Rome.Â
