Taryn Glass enters her first season as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Shorter University, bringing experience at both the NCAA and nationally competitive club levels. She is passionate about developing student-athletes through a culture of accountability, discipline, and competitive excellence while helping players grow both on and off the court.

Before joining the Hawks, Glass served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Spalding University after previously working as an assistant coach with the program. During her collegiate coaching career, she helped develop five SLIAC All-Conference selections, 15 SLIAC Academic All-Conference honorees, three CSC Academic All-District recipients, and a SLIAC Newcomer of the Year while contributing to three SLIAC Tournament appearances.

Glass brings more than six years of club coaching experience, leading athletes from ages 8–18. She has served as head coach for multiple Union Volleyball Club teams, including 16 Black (Indiana), 16 Black (Kentucky), 17-1, 15 Black, and 13 Black. In 2026, she guided Union’s 13 Open team to a third-place finish at the AAU Girls’ Junior National Championships, one of the nation’s premier youth volleyball tournaments. Two athletes earned AAU All-American honors under her leadership, and her teams have qualified for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in both the National and American divisions.

Committed to continued professional growth, Glass was selected to participate in the Big Ten Women’s Volleyball Mentorship Program, where she gained valuable insight into player development, recruiting, and leadership from coaches across one of the nation’s premier Division I conferences.

As a student-athlete at Transylvania University, Glass helped lead the Pioneers to the 2019 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championship—the program’s first conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance. She also earned HCAC All-Tournament honors in 2016 and was a two-time KHSAA All-District selection at Central High School.

Glass earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Transylvania University. She is committed to building confident, resilient student-athletes who compete with passion, lead with integrity, and strive for excellence in every aspect of their lives.
