Shorter University Athletics

Raegan Grooms joined the Shorter Volleyball staff prior to the 2019 season after concluding her playing career at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She attended Armstrong State for two years before the school was consolidated with Georgia Southern. Grooms transferred to PBA to finish her remaining two years of eligibility for the 2017-2018 season.

During Grooms time at Armstrong State she was named Honorable Mention AVCA All-American, first-team All-Peach Belt Conference, and AVCA All-Southeast Region honoree. She ranked among the Top 10 in the Peach Belt conference in six different offensive categories. Her match high kills was 22 against PBC champion Flagler College. Grooms was also a member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll.

Grooms transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic for the 2017-2018 seasons to complete her remaining eligibility. Grooms played in the 62 matches and 220 sets for PBA where she totaled 570 kills and 573 digs. She had double digit kills in 18 matches and a match high of 17 kills and 20 digs. Grooms was a member of the Presidential and Athletic Director Honor Roll.

Born on March 26 in her hometown of Knoxville, TN. Grooms plans to graduate with her MBA from Shorter University. Her favorite bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
