Leslie Pierce enters her 2nd season in 2023 as the Head Coach for the Shorter University Women’s Soccer Program.
Before Shorter, Pierce served as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Texas A&M – San Antonio in San Antonio Texas, and Faulkner University in Montgomery Alabama.
Pierce also has over 10 years of club coaching experience at various clubs including CC United in Austin TX, Gulf Coast Youth Soccer Club in Port Arthur TX, FCM Montgomery, Capital City Streaks Montgomery, and Toro Soccer Club in San Antonio TX.
Pierce played soccer at Harding University in Searcy AR and competed in the Gulf South Conference and was part of the 2004 team that made it to the NCAA II National Tournament for the first time in the program’s history. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and secondary education. After graduating from Harding, Pierce went overseas to England and coached and taught PE while also playing as a semi-professional soccer player for Haringey Borough FC in London England in the Eastern Region Women’s Premier League.
After returning to the States, Pierce earned her Master of Higher Education degree in Athletic Administration from the University of Oklahoma. She also holds the USSF D License, NSCAA National Youth License, and Coerver Coaching Youth License.
