Shorter University Athletics

College Career: Ieshia started 27 of 31 games played in 2012 – 13 and averaged 9.4 points (third on the team), scoring 291 points on the season, while shooting 67% from the FT line, pulling down 3.1 rebounds and dishing out 2.3 assists per game….in Gulf South Conference games, Ieshia averaged 10.7 points and scored her career high of 22 points against Univ. of West Florida….hit game winning baskets against Univ. of West Alabama and Univ. of Alabama-Huntsville…..selected team’s Most Improved Player at conclusion of the season.  Ieshia transferred to Shorter University from NCAA Div. II North Georgia College and State University where her freshman season she averaged 7.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game…had her season high of 16 points versus Columbus State. As a junior Ieshia started 26 of the 26 games played in 2013-2014….led the team in scoring with 12.8 points per game, while scoring a total of 332 points on the season…scored 20 or more points on 5 occasions matching her career high of 22 points against Christian Brothers…selected team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player at the conclusion of the season.  
 
High School: Played at Coosa High School…averaged 16.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game her senior season…member of the 1,000 point club…named team MVP and Rome-News Tribune and NW Georgia Tip-Off Club Player-of-the-Year in 2008-2009…member of the Atlanta Tip-Off Club girls Team of the Year.
 
Personal: Born December 21, 1990….daughter of Joseph and Mary Alexander….mother of 4 year old Kayla….has one brother, Joey, and two sisters, Britney and Shaunda…..Majoring in Sports Management
