Rabun Wright

Rabun Wright is in her second season as a graduate assistant coach at Shorter University and the only remaining staff member from last season.  She came to Shorter after her time overseas working with multiple sports ministry programs in the countries of Malta, Italy and Germany. In addition to organizing numerous sports camps throughout Italy, and participating in sports based leadership training in Germany, she worked hand in hand with the International Olympic committee in Malta.  Rabun also trained players competing for Malta’s National Team.

Before her stint in Europe, Rabun graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and a concentration in Broadcast Journalism.  She was a member of the UNA Women’s Basketball team; as well as, a scholar athlete all four years. Rabun helped re-establish the FCA chapter at the University and led a small group bible study for women athletes on campus.  During the summer of her sophomore year, Rabun worked as a media manager for the basketball venue at the National Special Olympic Games.     

Rabun is a 2012 graduate of Rabun County High School in Clayton, Georgia where she helped lead her team to the school’s first ever region championship. Rabun was a Wendy’s Heisman Athlete recipient, All-Region player, Piedmont Tournament MVP, and was selected to compete for the North/South All-Star game in 2012.  Rabun was also selected as the All-Tournament Point Guard at the 2010 Wilson Smith All Star Game in Zolfingen, Switzerland.
