Shorter University Athletics

 Mackenzie Darrah is from Buford, Ga and played high school basketball at Buford High School from 2009-2013. Darrah helped lead the Varsity team to two back to back State Championships in the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons.  

In 2013, Darrah attended and played basketball on a full ride scholarship to Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. In 2016 she transferred to finish her playing career at the University of North Georgia helping lead the team to a Region Championship as well as a Conference Championship in the 2017-2018 season. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Health and Fitness at the University of North Georgia, Darrah completed one year as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the UNG Nighthawks 2018- 2019 season, helping the team win another Region Championship as well as a Conference Championship, and an NCAA DII Elite Eight appearance.  

This is her first year as Graduate Assistant Coach at Shorter University and she is studying to receive an MBA in Business with a Sport Management Emphasis.
