Maryville College
Amber Lee enters her second season as assistant coach for the Lady Hawks, and first as Shorter's Senior Woman Administrator.
The Rome native joins the women's basketball staff after spending last season as an assistant at Alabama Huntsville where she helped UAH become the second ranked scoring offense in the nation.
Lee graduated from Armuchee High School in 2005 where she played basketball and softball for the Lady Indians, then continued her athletic career lettering in both sports at Maryville (Tenn.) College where she graduated in 2009.
After graduating from Maryville, Lee served as an assistant at Berry College for the 2009-10 season and then returned to Maryville as a member of the coaching staff from 2010 - 2013. The Scots were quite successful during Lee's tenure, boasting a record of 66-17 while winning three consecutive conference titles, making two NCAA tournament appearances, and maintaining a cumulative team GPA of 3.3 or higher, in those years.
As Senior Woman Administrator, Lee will head the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and help in all fundraising efforts for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
