Scott Bissett is in his first season as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team at Shorter University. Bissett a native from Dundee, Scotland began his coaching career at the age of 17 and he has been involved in grass roots, club, higher academy and also worked for the Scottish Football Association. He is a level three coach; which is equivalent to a level D license with over 7 years of experience. He was also recently appointed as Director of Recreation Soccer for North Georgia United.
Bissett has an HNC in sports coaching and management, an Honors degree in Sport and Psychology from University of Abertay Dundee, and is currently completing his MA in Leadership at Shorter.
As a player Bissett has played at every level in Scotland; including region selection and playing academy for Dundee United FC. Bissett then moved into the adult game playing amateur and semi pro winning both individual and team awards before playing his final year of eligibility at Shorter University.
